$240 per session
Rebate: $98.65 (through Medicare's Better Access Initiative) Gap Fee $141.35.
To claim this Medicare rebate, you will need a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP or a referral from a psychiatrist or paediatrician. Discuss your eligibility with your GP and obtain the appropriate referral.
Currently, up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year are available under Medicare, which can also be utilised alongside NDIS psychological services if applicable.
With your bank details registered with Medicare, rebates from these Medicare rebate services can be processed directly into your nominated account after your session. Additionally, if you have private health insurance psychology coverage, check with your provider for any available benefits.
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommended fee for a standard 46–60 minute consultation with a registered psychologist for 2025–2026 is $318. This is a suggested rate, and individual psychologists set their own fees, which may differ from this recommendation.
$240 per session applies to clients who are not accessing Medicare rebate services, external funding, or private health insurance psychology for NDIS psychological services.
$232.99 per session
Services are available for self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. We offer NDIS psychological services that are aligned with the current NDIS price guide. Additionally, our services may qualify for Medicare rebate services and can be claimed through private health insurance psychology plans.
If you have private health insurance psychology coverage, you may be able to claim a gap fee for psychological services, including Medicare rebate services, under your plan.
We are a registered provider with WorkCover Queensland and accept referrals for clients with approved WorkCover claims for psychological treatment, including Medicare rebate services, NDIS psychological services, and private health insurance psychology.
We understand clients may occasionally miss appointments due to other commitments and emergencies. However, where possible, more than 24 hours’ notice is required to avoid cancellation fees.
For less than 24 hours’ notice, the full fee of the session will be charged. This is not a penalty to the individual but to protect the clinician’s time. Clients under the Mental Health Treatment Plan cannot access a Medicare rebate for cancellation or non-attended sessions, and the full fee will be required to pay privately.
